About Me

I was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I started creating art in 2008 when I was in high school, working in ceramics and drawing. In 2013, I earned my B.A in Drawing and Painting from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Since graduating, my work has been primarily in acrylic and oil painting.

I have shown my work at Twin Cities galleries and venues such as the St. Paul Art Crawl, (A.Z. Gallery, The Show Gallery in St. Paul), and Minneapolis art festivals such as the Powderhorn and Red Hot Art Fairs.  I am always seeking new exhibition opportunities in all communities of the Twin Cities.

I currently work as an assistant teacher at Studio Seven Fine Arts in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I teach fine art application in drawing, painting, printmaking and sculpture to children ages 7 to 17. I also teach low cost art classes for the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board.

Art education has made a huge impact on my life. I am currently earning my Masters of Education and K-12 Initial Licensure in Arts Education from the University of Minnesota. I aspire to teach art classes in low income Minneapolis Public Schools.  I believe that access to the arts is very important to every child of all backgrounds.

Some of my  hobbies include spending time in nature and traveling. I love spending time at home with my husband two cats. (I am an introvert)  I have a great interest in languages, having taken Spanish and Italian classes in college.
